1.1 Supported Network Environment
1.2 Unsupported Routers and Network Types
1.2.1 5 GHz Networks
Problem: TC002 supports only the 2.4 GHz band and cannot connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
How to identify it:
- The Wi-Fi name contains a "5G" suffix, such as "MyWiFi_5G".
- Only the 5 GHz band is enabled in the router settings.
- A 5G indicator appears when a phone connects.

1. Sign in to the router administration page, usually at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
2. Open Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Settings.
3. Enable the 2.4 GHz band.
4. Give the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks different SSIDs (Wi-Fi names).
5. Save the settings and run setup again using the 2.4 GHz network.1.2.2 Enterprise Networks (802.1X/EAP Authentication)
Problem: Enterprise networks that require both a username and password are not supported.
Typical environments:
- Corporate office networks
- School or campus networks
- Hotel authentication networks
- Networks that require signing in through a web page

Option 1: Use a mobile hotspot
1. Enable a personal hotspot on your phone using the 2.4 GHz band.
2. Connect TC002 to the phone hotspot and complete setup.
3. You can then control it over the local network.
Option 2: Contact the network administrator
1. Request a separate 2.4 GHz guest network.
2. Alternatively, request a network that uses basic WPA2-PSK security.1.2.3 Combined Dual-Band Networks
Problem: The router combines the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands under the same Wi-Fi name.
How to identify it:
- Only one Wi-Fi name is visible, but TC002 cannot connect.
- Smart Connect or band steering is enabled on the router.

1. Sign in to the router administration page.
2. Find the band-combining or Smart Connect option.
3. Disable it.
4. Assign separate Wi-Fi names to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Example:
- 2.4 GHz: MyWiFi_2.4G
- 5 GHz: MyWiFi_5G
5. Save the settings and run setup again on the 2.4 GHz network.1.2.4 Special Characters or Non-Latin SSIDs
Problem: Wi-Fi names containing special characters, emoji, or some non-Latin characters may cause setup to fail.
Unsupported characters may include:
- Emoji, such as 😀 or 🎉
- Special symbols, such as #, $, %, &, or *
- Some non-Latin characters with limited compatibility
Solution:

1. Change the Wi-Fi name to letters and numbers only.
Recommended format: letters + numbers, such as HomeWiFi2024.
2. Avoid spaces and special characters.
3. Restart the router after changing the name.
4. Run setup again using the new Wi-Fi name.1.2.5 MAC Address Filtering
Problem: The router has a MAC-address allowlist or blocklist enabled.
How to identify it:
- Other devices connect normally.
- TC002 continues to show Connection failed.
- Device Management or Access Control is enabled on the router.

Option 1: Temporarily disable MAC filtering
1. Sign in to the router administration page.
2. Open Wireless Settings > MAC Address Filtering.
3. Temporarily disable filtering.
4. After setup is complete, add the TC002 MAC address to the allowlist.
